Nuke Evolution CMS

Nuke-Evolution is a PHP-Nuke distro which contains many fixes, updates, rewrites, and add-ons. Something that sets us apart from other PHP-Nuke packages is the amount of security fixes and code improvements that have been made over the base PHP-Nuke package. Many of the concerns that are expressed about PHP-Nuke are not a part of Nuke-Evolution.

Nuke-Evolution originally started from a group of core developers that were working on improving the PHP-Nuke Platinum package in 2005. When the main Platinum developer and site left, we made the decision to start a new package. On July 22nd, 2005 the first public beta was released. Since then we have 8 beta releases and 7 major releases, with an 8th major release likely before the end of the year. We have grown to over 20,000 users, and 30,000 downloads.

Evolution-Xtreme 2.0 CMS

Evolution-Xtreme was created using the Nuke Evolution 2.0.7 Core. This system was created for the sole purpose of providing users a version of Nuke Evolution that had a lot of the addon module, blocks and other enhancements already built into it. We wanted to create a system using Nuke Evolution that would be easy for users to get up and running with nearly everything they would need with an advanced system Although the Nuke Evolution Basic version is a great system, a lot of users wanted to use it but also wanted more added on. To help balance the communities needs and give them choice of what version to use we decided users could now have a fully loaded version along side the Basic version which allows users to install the base version and then install any addons they wanted to use. Either direction a user wanted to go would be fine. After all, Nuke Evolution was created for the community.

Evolution Xtreme started about a year and a half ago and we have released 2 versions already. With upgrades to PHP and MySql we have now started on a 3rd version which will be PHP 5.3 compatable and XHTML and CSS compliant. We hope to have this new version released in the next few months.

Evo-CMS

In 2006 ReOrGaNiSaTiOn and the European Community started a fork of Nuke-Evolution 0.9 to fulfill the needs of the European multilingualism. Until Nuke-Evolution 2.0.0 both Kernels were the same In 2008 ReOrGaNiSaTiOn was called into the Core Developer Team around Nuke-Evolution. The goal was, to get European and US Community together with one Version 2.1.0 for both. During this development stage, almost the complete kernel and core modules were recoded or completely rewritten..
Because of the changed core system, most mods or modules written for Nuke-Evolution 2.0.x have to be changed to fit the needs of this Version. At this time, the Core Development Team had decided to split the Development into two versions of the CMS: Nuke-Evolution and Evo-CMS.

Evo-CMS 2.1.0 is running in php4.4.x and php5.3.x Environments with UTF-8 as base Characterset, CSS 2.1 and XHTML 1.0 verified.
